About Our Project/ This Blog:

Hey everyone!

This is a blog based on media literacy for our Communications 2100 course at Mizzou. We are using the 5 Critical Processes including: #2 Analysis, #3 Interpretation, and #4 Evaluation. Our objective is to find the responses that both teenagers and college students have towards various product placements, in order to evaluate how they view product placement in reality TV shows. Our examples of reality TV shows include: Keeping Up With The Kardashians, Jersey Shore, and Top Chef. This lesson will ultimately assist us in determining our targets media literacy, as well as giving them more knowledge about it.

(We have focused on reality TV shows because it is something different than other groups' projects in our course. We are focusing on high school teenagers and college students because we feel they are the main demographic who watches these shows).

Please COMMENT with your responses to questions under each video clip! We cannot get credit if you do not comment!

Thank you for participating in our media literacy project. We truly appreciate it!

Sincerely,

Bridget Egan and Taylor Deeds
